About Music Mavens of Michigan

Music Mavens of Michigan is a women-focused music community dedicated to creating more opportunities, connections, visibility, and support for women throughout Michigan's music industry. Founded by Michigan singer-songwriter Jacki Daniels, Music Mavens began with a simple idea: there are incredibly talented women making music all across Michigan, but too often, they don't have equal access to the stages, connections, resources, and recognition that help turn talent into a sustainable career.
We're working to change that.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support, connect, and amplify women in Michigan music by creating real opportunities to perform, collaborate, learn, network, and grow. 
Music Mavens brings together artists, songwriters, musicians, producers, engineers, photographers, videographers, educators, media professionals, venue professionals, supporters and other members of the music community. 
At the heart of everything we do is one belief: 
Support over competition. Collaboration over comparison. 
There is room for more women on the stage, behind the soundboard, in the studio, at the decision-making table, and everywhere else music is being made.
